Wanita MIC is continuously on the look-out for enthusiastic, politically-minded future leaders to join our Internship Program both at the National and State levels. All Wanita MIC internships are offered on a volunteer (unpaid) basis. The internships run for a period of one year on part-time and week-end basis, we ask that interns commit to at least 12 hours per week.
This is an opportunity for hardworking, passionate future leaders to gain real life,
hands-on experience in Malaysian politics, grasp an understanding of the political process and to prepare themselves for future political opportunities. It’s also a great way to form lasting friendships, connections and memories.
Intern responsibilities and tasks vary depending on the Bureau you are attached to, but all interns play an important role in their respective bureaus. While all interns will perform some administrative tasks, typing, drafting, making copies, filing, etc. the work Interns do is vital to the day to day functions and bureau projects Wanita MIC is working on.
In addition to typical intern duties you will have the chance to volunteer in community outreach projects and grassroots organizing, assist at Wanita MIC functions, and offer ideas and suggestions. When you take a tour of our website you will have a clearer insight of who we are, what we stand for and what we do.
Interns have the opportunity to work with women members / leaders across the country, planning community service events. It creates opportunities for interns to work closely with the media, collecting daily news clips, formatting press releases, and updating the new media website. The dress code is business casual. The Wanita MIC expects all interns to be MIC supporters and registered voters.
